Mr. Benny Ray Felts, age 70, of McGrady, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Felts was born March 3, 1943 in Wilkes County to Lonnie and Lura Hays Felts. He was a member of Cane Creek Church. Mr. Felts was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Ada Sue Wyatt Felts of the home; one son, Benjamin Scott Felts and wife Crystal Marie of North Wilkesboro; one daughter, Jody Denise Freeman and husband Paul Wesley Jr. of Wilkesboro; two sisters, Ina Shumate of Wilkesboro, Mary Felts of Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Paul Wesley Freeman III of Chicago, Austin Allen Freeman of North Wilkesboro, Samantha Leigh Freeman of Wilkesboro, Benjamin Tyler Felts and Benjamin Conner Felts both of North Wilkesboro.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 o'clock Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Mountain Valley Baptist Church in McGrady with Rev. Ronnie McManus officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mountain Valley Baptist Church from 12:30 until 2:00 o'clock on Tuesday, prior to the service.
