Died, at the home of her son, Michael M. Bahl, at Sherwood, Calumet County, Wis., Feb. 24, 1897, Mrs. Susan Bahl, aged 65 years, 2 months and 23 days. Deceased was born in Steinefrenz, Amt Wallmenrad, Province of Nassau, Germany, and came to this country with her husband, Casper Bahl, in 1856, and first settled in Dodgeville, and in a short time moved to a farm on Pleasant Ridge, about nine miles north of Dodgeville, where they continued to reside, Mr. Bahl having died there in 1874, and in 1892, Mrs. Bahl went to live with her son Michael M., at Sherwood, where she remained until death. The remains were brought to this city last Friday, where they reposed at the residence of Jacob Bahl, a son, until the next day, when they were removed to Pleasant Ridge and buried in the cemetery of St. Joseph's Church*, Rev. Father Ambauen administering the last sad rites. Four sons are left to mourn the loss of a kind mother whose example and precepts had taught them the true principles of filial love and obedience. The surviving sons are: Jacob, living in Dodgeville; Peter K., at Milwaukee; P. Joseph at Pleasant Ridge, and Michael M., at Sherwood, Wis., who accompanied the remains to this city. * Mrs. Susan Bahl is buried at the cemetery of St Peter and Paul's church in Pleasant Ridge
