Herman Baie, aged 80, passed away Friday (November 18, 1943) in DeKalb after a lingering illness. He was born in Clinton Township and was a resident of this community for many years.

Mr. Baie is survived by one son, Harry, two adopted daughters, one who has passed away and Mrs. Alice Holstein of Sugar Grove, three brothers; Henry of Adrian, WI, Carl of Waterman and A. C. Baie of Hinckley, three sisters: Mrs. C. W. Rimsnider, Mrs. Henry Morsch and Mrs. Amelia Troeger of Hinckley.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Rev. L. G. Weber officiating, with burial in Miller Cemetery.
