Cooksey, Dorothea Jane, 74, retired Veterans Hospital benefit administ rator, died Oct. 31, 2003. Visitation with family 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jackson Mortuary; Viewing 10:15 to 11 a.m.; service 11 a.m. both Thursday, St. Paul AME Church, 1756 Piatt.

Survivors: sons, David C. Cooksey III of Wichita, Charles T. Cooksey of Chicago; daughter, Nancy Cooksey of Wichita; brother, George T. Parks of Wichita; sisters, Thelma L. Nixon, Geraldine A. Watts, Joan E. Quarles all of Wichita; 2 grandchildren.
