Funeral services for Merl O. Case, 68, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Milliken Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Hans Poppe officiating.
The body will lie in state Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the Milliken Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
Mr. Case was born Oct. 16, 1898 at Ellston, Ia., to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Case and died Aug. 6 at the Mitchell hospital. He had been in the contracting business. On Sept. 29, 1920 he married Margaret Schneider at Mitchell.
Survivors include his widow; four sons, Merlin (Tom), Donald (Jack), William (Bill), and Raymond, Mitchell; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Schuster, Mitchell; three sisters, Opal Case, California; Mrs. Sylvia Tingle, Letcher; and Mrs. Benita Conklin, Detroit, Mich. And two brothers, Harvey, Huron, and Arthur, Beaver Dam, Ky., 15 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
