He and his son, Fred, died of influenza within two weeks of each other.

Robert L. Mock was born February 1, 1879 in Saxony, Germany. When three years of age, he came to America with his parents. He grew to manhood at West Point, Nebr.

In 1902, he came to Antelope county with his parents locating seven miles south of Creighton.

In 1905, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Kyriss.

He died at Fairfax, SD, Feb. 20, 1920, his death being caused by pneumonia following influenza.

To mourn their loss he leaves his wife and four children; two sisters, Mrs. A.H. Hoefs of Norfolk and Mrs. J.P. Fischer of Creighton. He also leaves a step brother, Edward Mock and his step mother, both of Plainview.

Funeral services were held from St. Ludger church in Creighton Monday morning, Rev. Father Windolph and Father Danby of Fairfax, SD officiating. Interment was made in St. Ludger Cemetery.
