Donald C. Hinds, 65, of Hesperia, died Aug. 15, 1986.
A native of Ashland, Ill., he was a resident of Hesperia 10 years, and of California 36 years. He was retired after 17 years as a motor officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.
Mr. Hinds was a member of the U.S. Marine Bombing Squadron No. 611 and the Municipal Motorcycle Officers of California. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II.
He survived by his wife, Joann, of Hesperia; sisters Sue Raps of Pleasant Plains, Ill. and Arlene Walker of Paradise, Calif,; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kern Memorial Chapel, Victorville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 19, from the Bible Baptist Church of Victorville. Pastors Dean Woods and James Carter will officiate.
Burial will be in Desert View Memorial Park, Hesperia.
