John Everett Renfroe, for thirty-two years a resident of this county, died yesterday morning at the family home near Six Mile station, west of this city. The deceased was widely known over the county and had quite a record as a soldier.
Renfroe was 72 years of age. He was one of the original Kansas volunteers, and served until he was so badly crippled that he was incapable. He lost his left leg and right eye in a fierce engagement. A wife and three children survive him. The funeral will take place this morning at 10 o'clock from the family home. burial at the Quindaro cemetery.
