When Charles Levi Chubbuck was born on December 23, 1887, in Ipswich, South Dakota, his father, Arthur Burtis Chubbuck, was 31 and his mother, Mary King Rogers, was 30. He married Minnie M. Botz on May 7, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan. They had two daughters during their marriage, Alys Jeanne Chubbuck Monod, and Patricia Chubbuck Craig. Charles died on March 23, 1958, in Bloomfield, Michigan, at the age of 70.
