Kenneth E. Fitzpatrick, 76, of Stanford died Monday, July 15, 2013. He was born May 31, 1937 in Greenfield, Ohio to the late Robert M. and Helen Marie Hafer Fitzpatrick. Kenneth relocated to Stanford in 1970 with Angell Mfg. as General Manager, he was employed in various capacities in industrial and production management and construction engineering. He attended Ohio State University and Wittenburg University, also in Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman, UK Wildcat fan and a supporter of Lincoln County High School Football. Kenneth used his engineering skills to build "Mr. Ed", the cannon which was used, at home football games from 1978 until the past few years, to signal when the Patriot's scored. He was a 40 year member of the Masonic Lodge #221, West Jefferson, Ohio and he was an Oleka Shriner. Kenneth was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lilly Chapel, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann McDaniels Fitzpatrick of Stanford, KY; five children, Michael Fitzpatrick (Sherrie) of Stanford, KY, Micki Beach (Dale) of Dry Ridge, KY, Mark Fitzpatrick (Gwen), Marti Brown (Mike) and Mitch Fitzpatrick (Anita) all of Stanford, KY; a brother, David Lee Fitzpatrick of Plain City, OH; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Megan Elizabeth in 1988.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 5-8 pm with a Masonic service beginning at 7:30, at Spurlin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1 pm Friday, July 19, 2013, at Spurlin Funeral Home. Phillip Schreyer will be officiating the service. Burial will be in St. Sylvester Cemetery, Ottenheim, KY.

Casketbearers will be Dan Stephens, Jerry Fitzpatrick, Tim, Adam, Todd Fitzpatrick, Mike Brown, Shea Lair, Dale Beach and Mike Barnes. Honorary bearers will be Ethan Barnes, Casey Brock, Billy Pendleton and Blake Fitzpatrick.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the Ft. Logan Cooperative Ministries, 302 Church Street, Stanford, KY 40484.
