Kimberly Ann Edens Dupré (9/27/67-7/29/13) went home to be with the Father July 29, 2013. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ann Toombs Wietzel, and Step Father, Percy L Weitzel.

Kim was a student of the SAC nursing school when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2005. She completed her studies, and graduated as an RN,all while going through treatment. She was employed by McKenna Hospital, and later Oak Tree Assisted Living, both in New Braunfels, Texas.

A bundle of energy, Kim was involved in her church, New Braunfels Bible Church, where she was a charter member. Everyone who ever came in contact with her saw the compassion she had for her fellow man.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Mark Dupré, daughters April Ann Dupré and Hannah Lee Dupré , all from New Braunfels, Texas, Parents Jerry and Karen Edens, from Ute Park, New Mexico, and many "adopted" kids from all over. She was everybody's "Mom".

"Let not your heart be troubled! Believe in God. Believe also in me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." John 14:1-4

The Last Was the Last

Every year I'd go to a party
It was a party for a friend with a bunch of strangers
I would go with my wife because every year we would say
This might be her last party
The last party was the last

It is not as if I knew her all that well
But you knew she was one that could always hear the angel's song
She would dance alone accompanied by angels
She danced as if it were her last dance
The last dance was the last

I would see her on Sunday mornings
Always the glow of Jesus was on her face
And her hello and good byes were sincere
As if any one of them could be the last good bye
The last hello and goodbye were the last

My wife tells me that in the end even morphine did not help
But she said her body was fighting off every last pain
Sixty maybe seventy pounds of faith and courage
Living life as if any breath could be her last
The last breath was her last

This sweet earthly angel has crossed on over to the real angels
She dances in the company of Jesus because she believes
She is in the party of heaven, mighty, strong, and whole
No more thoughts of pain, suffering, disease or this earth
Her last thoughts were her last

What did we learn from this brave friend and warrior?
What would she tell us if she could?
She'd tell us in Jesus heaven is a party of perfect praise
To live well, love wholly, and dance, yes dance!
Because the last dance will last.
