The son of the late Finley and Jane Rose Green, he was born December 17, 1900 in Whitley County. He was married to Rachel Lay in 1918 at Wyborg in McCreary.
Mr. Green had lived here for 12 years and was engaged in industrial work. He was a member of the Monticello Street First Church of God.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Estell Hayden, Somerset and a son, David Green, Westerville, Ohio; two brothers, David Green, Winter Park, Florida and Elhannan Green, Oregon; and three sisters, Mary Hicks, Freemont, Ohio, Martha O'Rhea, Cincinnati, and Charity Cunningham, Dearborn, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. A.W. Campbell officiating. burial in the Barnesburg Cemetery.
