Stricken Suddenly
Civil Works Worker Drops Dead
While Pushing, Wheelbarrow a High Point
Funeral To Be Today
High Point, Dec. 27, - Walter Herbert Clapp, 65, dropped dead this morning at 11 o'clock while pushing a wheelbarrow on a civil works job at the municipal lake at Jamestown. he was a carpenter, lived at 1011 Lindsay street and had made his home in High Point for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, who prior to her marriage 35 years ago, was Miss Maggie Emma Marley, his father, S. A. Clapp, of Guilford College; three daughters, Mrs. John W. Curtis, of Liberty; Mrs. W. L. Albertson and Mrs. Reece Snyder, of High Point; 1 son, Thurman V. Clapp, of High Point, and a sister, Mrs. J. W. Atkinson, of Guilford College.
Funeral will be held from the homr place Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will take place in Oakwood Memorial park cemetery.
