Ann "Mamma Ann" Howell Hutchcraft , 85 years of age, of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, July 27th, 2013.

Ann was born in Paris, Kentucky on October 20th, 1927, daughter of the late Pauline Howell Jones Hutchcraft and Winn Varnon Hutchcraft, Sr.. Ann was a retired educator. During her retirement years, she lived in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ann's career as an educator spanned over 35 years. She taught kindergarten through fourth grade in the Bourbon County school system. Ann was a graduate of Paris High School, the University of Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky University. She held advanced degrees in education as well as degrees in business and paralegal studies.

The great loves of her life were family, education, gardening, music, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Known as "Mamma Ann" to her family, she was a strong encourager and supporter of her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Ann was survived by one daughter, Ann Williams Bronaugh Andrews (and Glen) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; one son, Whitcomb Meade Bronaugh (and Louise) of Eugene, Oregon; her daughter-in-law, Christina Feezel Bronaugh; one brother, Winn Varnon Hutchcraft of Oxford, Mississippi; three grandsons, Benjamin John-Whitcomb Andrews of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Jesse Hutchcraft Bronaugh of Lexington, Kentucky, and Gavin Sharpley Bronaugh of Eugene, Oregon; three nephews, Andrew David Moak, James Hutchcraft Moak, and Elliott Hutchcraft; four nieces, Polly Ann Moak, Amanda Winn Moak Kinnaird, Elizabeth Wadsworth Moak, and Anna Elizabeth VonGruenigen; eight great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Pauline and Winn Hutchcraft, Sr.; one son, John Hutchcraft Bronaugh; one sister, Helen Gibson Hutchcraft Moak; one nephew, Franklin Edwin Moak, Jr.; and one step-grandson, Alexander Feezel Yeakley.

Visitations were held at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home in Paris, Kentucky on Thursday, August 1st, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again after 12:00 noon on Friday August 2nd until time of graveside services.

Graveside services were held on Friday, August 2nd, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the Paris Cemetery in Paris, Kentucky with Sandra Renfro White (Founder and Director of Bethlehem Farm) conducting the services.

Her pallbearers were: Glen Andrews, Elliott Hutchcraft, Robert Layton, Thomas Winn Talbot, Guy Ormsby, Jr., John Galloway, and Mark Wells.

Burial followed in the Paris Cemetery.
