Norma Rose Adams, 52, of Linder Road, director of the Univesity Hospital Volunteer Program, died at home Thursday after a long illness.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a. m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Alvin Besterhalf officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 p. m. to 8:30 p. m. today at Sordens Chapel in Lone Tree.

Memorial donations maybe made to Iowa Foundation of the Norma Adams Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Louisa County, a daughter of Raymond and Nora Dvorak Lorack. She graduated from Lone Tree High School.

She married Clifton Adams July 22, 1951, in Lone Tree. She was a 1951 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Nursing. She was employed as a nurse at the University Hospital until 1973, at which time she was named founding director of the new Volunteer Program.

She was a past president of Altru-so and a member of the H. I. P. E. O. She was also a member of the St. Andrew Church.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters; Mary Beth (Mrs. David) Goodale and Nancy (Mrs. Blaine) Goff; both of Iowa City, and Sara, at home; one son, David of Chicago; her parents of Lone Tree; on granddaughter; one brother; Duane Lorack of Nichols; and one sister, Mary Ann (Mrs. Lloyd) Burr Jr. of Lone Tree.
