Death is one blow that has to come whether soon or late. Which came to the home of Mrs. M. L. Loyd, March 1st 1902 and bade her loving son, Jimmie close his eyes which he was willing and ready to go. Jimmie was in his twenty-first year. Just in the youth of manhood he was taken sick last Monday with pneumonia and brain fever of which he suffered until death. Oh! how his sweet voice and smiles will be missed at home, but one more voice added to the great chorus above where there are loved ones gone before. Jimmie was a quiet and an unpretentious young man and always made it a rule to attend strictly to his own business. It does not seem possible that one so young and noble and true promising to be so useful in the affairs of life to be selected as a target of death. He was a highly respected young man and he will be sadly missed by his friends in the entire community. He was one of those pleasant, warm-hearted young men whose company was always enjoyed and appreciated. He will not be forgotten by his many friends left behind, when some day we all expect to meet on that happy shore. A more obedient, affectionate and devoted son the writer never knew. His remains were brought to Pisgah for burial Sunday at 2 p. m. where there was a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn his death. Burial services were conducted by Rev. J. J. Shaw. The writer extends sympathy to the heart-broken family.
