Russell T. "Shorty" Revelle, 77, of 503 N. Second St. died at 10:34 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 1991, at Pekin Hospital.

Born Dec. 26, 1913, in Bollinger, Mo., to George O. and Zula F. Markham Revelle, he married Wilma L. Kinder on June 16, 1932, in Dongolo, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Denton (Wanda) Watson of Topeka and Mrs. Herman (Joyce) Towery of rural Pekin; two brothers, Chester W. of Pekin and Jimmy Dale of Kalamazoo, Mich.; six sisters, Helen Roechlein of Chicago, Mrs. Bill (Hazel) Garipy and Mrs. Herb (Imogene) Landrith, both of Florida, Jerry Ray of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Dorris (Inez) Brawley of Ozark, Mo., and Mrs. Betty June Birkman of Advance, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Virgil D., four brothers and one sister.

He was a construction worker, working through Laborers Union Local 231 of Pekin, where he was a 25-year member until retiring in 1979. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, the Rev. Wayne Kinder officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin.
