Estlena "Granny" Stuckey was born in Love County, OK on November 29, 1924, the daughter of Robert and Juanita Embry Hughes. She passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at her residence in Oakland at the age of 88.

Mrs. Stuckey had been a resident of the Oakland/Madill area for the past 51 years. A seamstress, she worked at the pants factory in addition to working in cotton fields and on peanut farms. Granny loved to quilt, go to garage sales and cook for family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren . . . the more the merrier. Estlena and Cleo Stuckey were married on December 7, 1942 in Ardmore, OK, and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1995. Mrs. Stuckey was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Edith Maines; son, Leo Stuckey; granddaughter, Rhonda Cothran; grandson, Jason Stuckey; four brothers, Buddy Hughes, Robert Hughes, Jr., Leonard Hughes and Ernest Hughes; and sister, Ruby Owens.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Malinda Stuckey and Billy and Susan Stuckey of Oakland and David and Mary Stuckey of Madill; two daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Smith of Marietta and Linda and Bill Jones of Madill; brother, Austin Hughes of Marietta; two sisters, Dorothy Clifton of Marietta and Geneta Clover of Oklahoma City, OK; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; caregivers, Cherri Jones, Linda Workman and Mary Smith; and Faith Hospice.

Serving as casket bearers will be Justin Jones, Kyle Jones, Neil Stuckey, John Stuckey, Matt Stuckey, Michael Voyles and Robert Stuckey.
