Leland Clayton (Buster) Morgan was born April 21, 1915 in Cincinnati, Iowa and died October 1, 1978 of a heart attack, in Clinton, Iowa. He was the son of Lewis Otis and Myrtle Cormeny Morgan.
Leland attended school in Cincinnati and was outstanding in sports. He was a member of Company G in Centerville, and was in World War II, but received an honorable discharge due to a burst ear drum.
He went to Clinton to work and on June 25, 1954 he married Mary Eaton Post.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, one sister and six brothers.
He leaves his wife Mary and four step children, Raymond and Ernest Fiedler of Clinton. Rosella Ries and Mable Witte of Dubuque, Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He also leaves one brother, Pearly Morgan of Fowler, Colo., and five sisters, Mildred Beardsley and Hazel Adams of Centerville, Charlotte Butler of Cincinnati: Erma Smith of Seymour and Anna Millizer of Plano.
His funeral was Saturday, October 7, 1978 at the Snell-Zorning Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Clinton.
