John Hammond was the son of Capt. Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Pabodie) Hammond. He was the husband of Freelove Gardner (Albro) Hammond. Freelove died February 17, 1850. John was a cabinetmaker, wheelwright and Windsor chairmaker. He served during the War of 1812. John died New Hudson, New York.
