Dies Sunday at Farm Home
LeRoy Ernest Mero, 70, died at 1:30 p.m.Sunday at his farm home in Amber township. He had been ill for several years.
Born Sept. 18, 1886, in Manistee, he had lived in Amber all of his life. In his youth he worked in the lumber camps and mills, later in the Amber brickyards and at Morton Salt Co. He had farmed for many years.
Mr. Mero was married Sept. 16, 1937, in Eden township to Miss Edith Leona Cable, who survives.
He also leaves one son, John E. Mero at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Barclay of South Custer; one brother, Chester Mero of Amber township, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dorrell chapel beginning this evening. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel under the direction of the Rev. Mr. Laurence E. Belleville of Free Methodist church of Ludington. Burial will be in Rickey cemetery, Amber.

Friends are sorry to learn Mrs. Janie Stahelin is a patient at Paulina Stearns hospital. She is wished a speedy recovery.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Edith Mero and son John of Ludington Route 2 and Mrs. Mary Barclay in the death Dec.9 of their husband, father and brother Roy Mero.
Memorial services for Roy Mero were held Dec. 12 from Dorrell chapel in Ludington. Attending from this district were Mrs. Mary Barclay, Mrs. Don Barclay, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barclay, John Cable, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cable and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Saxton.
