Age 87, died July 1, 1988 at Saline Community Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1901 in Saline Twp., the daughter of Carl Michael and Julia Catherine (Heimerdinger) Alber. She had been an Ann Arbor resident for the past 70 years.
She was married to George J. Finkbeiner on October 9, 1926 and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1953. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Finkbeiner is survived by her daughter Mrs. Lawrence (Jane) Mack of Austin, TX; four sons Richard of Mountain View, CA, Howard of Plymouth, Robert of Ann Arbor, Herbert of Applegate, CA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and one son, Gerald.
Memorial services will be held 11 am Wednesday July 6, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 423 S. Fourth Ave. with the Rev. Judith Yahnke officiating.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Finkbeiner's honor to the Ronald McDonald House or the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Envelopes are available at the Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., where the family will receive friends Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
