Greg Lentz, 52, of Pierre and formerly of Winner, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at his home.
Inurnment will be in the Winner Cemetery.
Gregory Keith Lentz was born on Aug. 9, 1953, at the Baptist Hospital in Winner to Keith and Alice (Lynass) Lentz of Hamill. Greg was baptized and confirmed at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Winner. He also attended St. Mary's parish in Hamill.
Greg grew up on the family farm and attended grade school in Hamill. He attended Winner High School, graduating in 1971. He attended college at Southern State in Springfield and he graduated from NCB in Rapid City. Greg worked in sales over a number of years in South Dakota, Wyoming and Arizona.
Greg's interests were horses, rodeo and his friends. He loved to read, especially history.
He is survived by two sisters, Karyl (Kenny) Kauer of Winner and Karen Mouw of Lincoln, Neb.; two nephews, Keith Kauer of Winner and Casey Mouw of Sioux Center, Iowa; one niece, Kortni Kauer of Rapid City; his stepfather, Raymond Munson of Mitchell; two aunts, Kathryn Rutherford of Winner and Altana Ourada of Lincoln, Neb.; two uncles, Jack (Mary Ellen) Lynass of Spearfish and Jerry (Kathleen) Lynass of Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Alice Lentz Munson; and one niece, Karri Kauer.
