Roy was born in Ripon, Wisconsin to Merrill and Sylvia (Lust) Banville. He was a 1969 graduate of Oshkosh West High School in Oshkosh. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving a tour of duty in the early seventies with the U.S. Army. On March 23, 1974 he married Lola Ihlenfeldt of Kewaunee, Wisconsin. They went on to have three children, Kandice, Dusty and Casey who he loved and was very proud of. Lola and Roy had divorced within the last few years. Roy was an accomplished Master Plumber and Electrician completing courses at Fox Valley Tech in an apprenticeship program while owning and operating "Banville and Sons, Inc." Roy loved and is survived by his mother and father, both of Pickett, Wisconsin, one sister, Leda Kettner of Oshkosh, his daughter and two sons, his ex-wife Lola, of Oshkosh, numerous other family members, and a special friend, Karen Krentz, of Pickett. Cremation has taken place and a Private Family Memorial Service was held at the Mueller Funeral Home in Winneconne, with Rev. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Inurnment took place later that day.
