ORGAS - Mrs. Hallie Atkins, 51, of Orgas, Boone County, was looking forward to visiting with her daughter and three sons in Cleveland, Ohio.

Her family had been scattered by depressed conditions in the coal fields. So she went to Cleveland last week to visit with them.

On Thursday, she fell down a flight of basement steps and was killed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Linda Cadle, of Cleveland.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Orgas Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. Rev. Galen Work will officiate and burial will be in Pineview Cemetery here.

Surviving besides her daughter are her husband, Kenna, a coal miner: six sons, Kenna Jr., Delmer and Howard, all of Cleveland, Eugene and Jerry, both of Orgas, and James of Beverly; her father, Chester Massey of Seth; three brothers, Elvin Massey of Fosterville, Robert of Cleveland and Sidney of Seth; three half brothers, Kermit Massey of Seth, Curtis of Marion, Ohio, and Arthur of Elyria, Ohio; and a half sister, Mrs. Irene Massey of Fosterville.

The body will be taken from Valley Funeral Home in Whitesville to the residence at 4 p.m. today and to the church an hour before service.

Pall bearers will be Joe Blaylock, Howard Hendricks, Curtis Harper, Charles Massey, Harold Lee Hendricks and Ralph Moran.
