ALTA LOMA - Services for Frank Mauldin Jr., 71, a former Marathon Oil Co. employee, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at James Crowder Funeral Home, the Rev. Mack Lavine officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, under direction of the funeral
home.

Mr. Mauldin died Sunday at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. He worked for Marathon Oil 31 years and was a member of Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Local 4-449 of Texas City. He was a member of Gospel Temple Church of Alta Loma and lived in that community the past 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Mae Mauldin of Alta Loma; two daughters, Mary Robbins of Odessa, Texas, and Betty Sue Bowen of Sheppherd, Texas; four sons, Grant Mauldin and Glen Mauldin, both of Lexington, Texas, John Mauldin of Kemah, and Thomas Carl Mauldin .of Houston; one
stepson, R.J. Bolton of Kemah; one sister, Maudie Fay Coldiron of Milano, Texas; two brothers, Monroe Mauldin and Leon Mauldin, both of Milano; 21 grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alfred Jamison Jr., Sam Burdett, Al Venghaus and Wayne Hancock.

Vistors may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. today.

First marriage was to Vivian Hobbs, they had Thomas Carl & John Wesley, Next marriage was to Eleanora Olga Trippel, they had Betty Sue, a stillborn child and Roger Dale Smith. Eleanora already had two children prior to marrying Uncle Buster, Louise and and a little boy, think his name was Philip. Uncle Buster had many children and some of them were adopted out.
