WHITESVILLE - Kenna Virgil Atkins Sr. of Orgas, a retired coal miner, died today in Charleston Memorial Hospital.
Surviving: sons, Kenna V., Eugene, Delmer, Howard, Jerry of Cleveland, Ohio, James of Parkersburg; daughter, Mrs. Linda Cadle of Cleveland; brother, Stewart B. Atkins of Orgas; sisters, Mrs. Edith Challis of Cabin Creek, Mrs. Ella Eperly of Miami; 14 grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church at Orgas, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Robert Rasmussen officiating. Burial was made in Pineview Cemetery at Orgas.
