Beals, Robert H., 71 of Bellaire, Ohio passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at Belmont Community Hospital.
He was born October 15, 1937 in Neffs, Ohio the son of Elmer Beals and Ruth Hess Beals.
Robert was a retired miner from North American Coal #3 mine in Dilles Bottom, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl "Tex" Beals, Everett Beals and Walter Beals; 3 sisters, Edna Kuri Gordon, Ethel Vannest and Elizabeth Long and a nephew Donald "Hoss" Kuri.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucy Cross Beals; 2 sons, Earl "Tom" Beals of Bellaire, David Beals, Sr. and wife Lisa of Shadyside; a daughter, Tina Cassidy and husband Doug of Martins Ferry; 4 grandchildren, Christina Beals and David Beals, II of Shadyside, Kayla Cassidy and Brandon Cassidy of Martins Ferry; great grandson, Kaden Robert Hinton of Shadyside; brothers in law, David Cross and Mike Leonard; sister in law, Sandy Cross several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Key Ridge.
