Melvin A. Adkison, 57, of Colfax, died Monday of traffic injuries suffered on Saturday. A native of Yakima, he came to Colfax from Bellingham in 1949.
A former cemetery sexton here, he was on the maintenance staff of the Whitman County Courthouse for the last nine years. He was a member of the Golden Grain Aerie of the Eagles Lodge.
He leaves his wife, Margaret, a brother, Arthur in Seattle, and five sisters.
