William Edward Brown, son of Elsie Ealey Brown and Ervin Oscar Brown also on this site in this cemetery. I know that he died from Meningitis and his wake was held at home on Morton Street in Peoria, IL. My dad said because of the disease, he had a glass top on his coffin. He perhaps died on the train on the way home from a leave. His stone states: William E Brown Pvt Illinois 148 Inf Tng. Bn. 05-23-26 01-27-45
