Rose Naples, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, aunt and friend went to be with the Lord on Jun. 20, 2012. She had been in San Diego Hospice care since May of this year. She was 93, born Feb. 26, 1919, in Chicago, Ill.

She met and married Stephen Naples in 1940 and then moved to San Diego in 1944, celebrating 64 years of marriage. They had five children, John, Lee, Dodie, Steve and Rosemarie. Her family meant the world to her. A "true lady" in every sense of the word. She was from a generation where class, manners, and a friendly smile were all attributes to be proud of. A member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in El Cajon, where she attended services daily for the past 38 years. Rose and her husband were longtime members of the Italian Catholic Federation, also she was a member of OLG Women's Guild, 55 PLUS CLUB, and Italian Women's Association. She loved bingo, Las Vegas, playing the slots, big band music, family picnics and doing things on the spur of the moment. She loved life and life loved her.

She will be sadly missed by her five children and their spouses; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Leo Bellon; and a sister-in-law, Jane Capra, residing in Chicago.
