Chauncey Dale Beebe, 81, of Kalispell, passed away Oct. 5, 1998, at Heritage Place.

He was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Kalispell, to Chauncey Edward and Eva Deford Beebe. His father homesteaded in the North Fork area and later moved to Columbia Falls.

He was a government trapper in his younger years and a log scaler for the U.S. Forest Service. His childhood name was "Buckshot," which was shortened to "Buck."

He married Beatrice Blades on June 6, 1936, in Kalispell, whom he met when he was in the third grade. It must have been true love because they were married for over 61 years. She died in 1998. They traveled to Germany, England, France, and Holland.

He is survived by one son, Don (Claudia); four daughters, Dixie, Donna (Peter), Nancy (Charles) and Eva (Bob); one sister, Ebbe (William); twenty three grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and friends.
