Harold was the son of Clarkson and Ida (Dean) Commons. He Married Mary Olive Hines in 1933, and together they had four children, they were, Shirey Ann Commons (Holliday), James Harold Commons, Gary Dean Commons, and Michael Lee Commons. Mary died in 1957, and Harold Remarried on Nov./15/1958 to Helen I Ridge Pierce, who died in 2001. Harold retired in 1972 after 43 years of employment with the Ertle Manufacturing of Indianapolis, Indiana, he was a Forman. He was also a member of the Sheridan Church of God and the Eagles Lodge of Lebanon. Harold was 81 years old when he died.
