Anthony Christopher Silva, known to family as Chris, 56, rose to heaven on December 15, 2011 with family by his side in San Luis Obispo, California. He was born July 23, 1955 in Hanford, California to Anthony Gabriel and Violet June Silva, one of five children. He enjoyed living at the coast where he could walk the pier, build a sandcastle or relax around a bonfire. Everyone knew his passion for fishing whether it was off the pier in Pismo or deep sea fishing in Mexico. His interest in martial arts drove him to become a black belt in karate. Chris made the world a better place with his work as an inscription specialist and prior to that, a top grain salesman in southern California. He always lent a hand in the yard and was a fantastic cook, best known for his fish-n-chips and chile verde.

Chris is survived by his two daughters, Chelsi and Cortni Silva of Clovis along with his four siblings, Sharon Costa and her husband Dan of Lemoore, Tonia Zubiri and her husband Jean of Hanford, Linda Riddle and her husband Brian of Hanford and Chuck Silva of Meeker, Colorado, as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his mother June in March of 1981 and his father Tony in July of 2006.
