The daughter of William & Geneva (Harris) Bisbee.

Mrs. Gariepy was a 1939 graduate of Cushing Academy, and the Burbank School of Nursing in 1965.

After her son, Robert, died in the Vietnam War, she served as a M.A.S.H nurse in Vietnam.

She served as both the local and national president of the Gold Star Mothers.

In addition, she served as president and treasurer of the Amvets Auxilliary in Fitchburg.
