GLADYS E. ABAD
Gladys E. Abad, 74, of 7105 Mamie Blvd., a beloved wife and mother, departed this life Dec. 29, 1994, in Lake Taylor Hospital. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and a member of St. Dorothea's Guild. She also was a member of the ITs Social Club and the Chesapeake Gardens/Mamie Homes Civic League Inc. She is survived by her loving husband, Antonio P. Abad; two sons, Crispin A. Abad of Chesapeake and Pedro E. Abad of Norfolk; one brother, Robert Eaton of Norfolk; two sisters, Addie Francis and Margaret Eaton of Detroit, Mich.; one aunt, Thelma Daniels of Norfolk; two grandsons, Crispin Abad Jr. and John Abad of Chesapeake; one daughter-in-law, Katherine Abad of Chesapeake; one sister-in-law, Cecelia Canaday of Portsmouth; one nephew, Thomas Flake, and one niece, Nancy Flake of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Alfred Wade. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Virginia, 1-800-586-4872.
