HAGMAN, Alfred

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing, surrounded by his family, of Alfred Hagman, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He left his mark on every individual he knew through his wit, humor, smile and friendship.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Agnes; three sons; his grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and brothers Herman (Joyce) and Otto (Bessie), aunt Martha Geinger as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Herman and Freida Hagman and sisters Mina (Cecil), Alma and brother Frank (Jean). Alfred was a veteran who served overseas from 1941 - 1945. He returned to his passion of farming, family, drinking good wine and playing cards like a pro.
A Celebration of Alfred's life will be held at the Anselmo Hall, Monday, March 15 at 1:00 P.M. A private family burial will take place following the service at the Anselmo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mayerthorpe Area Community Foundation (Marshall Hagman Memorial Scholarship Fund - Box 3676, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0) or to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #126 (Box 426, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0).
