Donald Edward Rawson was born to Warren W. and Amy Florence White/Rawson. He was a direct descendant of Edward Rawson who was the secretary of the Massachusetts Bay Colony b. 1615, d. 1693. He had one brother, Richard who died 11 July, 1942 from meningitis.

He married Carol Madge Suiter on 21 Feb., 1953. They had 3 children. Two boys and a girl. Donald was blessed with 4 grand children and 8 great grand children. He and Carol made their home in Huron, South Dakota where he worked for the Bureau of Reclamation. In 1955 he took a job with Kimberly/Clark Corp as a building engineer and they moved to Menasha, Wisconsin where they lived until he transferred to the plant in Fullerton, California. He remained at that plant till he retired. Carol preceded Donald in death. Donald passed away the next year.
