"Miss Mary Louise Bauman, aged 81, 412 Epworth street, died at 7:30 this morning in her home after a long illness. She had lived in Lawrence county the past 54 years and had a host of friends.
Miss Bauman was born at Mapleton July 4, 1852, the daughter of Allen H. and Mary Melcher Bauman. She was a member of the First Methodist church. A sister of Miss Bauman, Mrs. Eugene W. Chapin, died on April 27, less than a week ago.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. George N.[sic] Green,R.D.3, New Castle.
Funeral services will take place Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Offutt funeral home, North Mercer street with interment at King's Chapel cemetery."

Miss Bauman had been a member of the Castle Temple, Pythian Sisters the past thirty seven years and was a member of the Past Chiefs Association of that order. The officers of the Temple conducted rites at the grave in King's Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred. M. Green, George R. Gibson, Leonard A. Chapin, Charles E. Fullerton, George E.
