IMBISH WINSTON-SALEM Terry James Wimbish, Sr. June 6, 1944 - April 29, 2012 Terry James Wimbish, Sr., 67, died Sunday evening, April 29, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County on June 6, 1944 to Jack and Sarah Myrtle Hale Hatcher. He was retired from Piedmont/US Airways with over 31 years of service. Mr. Wimbish was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was of the Baptist Faith. He served his country proudly in the US Army. A 2:00 p.m. graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Park with military honors, with the Rev. Ricky Hughes officiating. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Arnie Lee and a sister Gaynell. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Ann Williams Wimbish of the home; four children, Wesley Swaim and wife Norma and Barry Swaim and wife Chandra, both of Mocksville, Terry Wimbish, Jr. and wife Angela of Tobaccoville, Barbara Collins and husband James of Germanton; 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Burroughs Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove is serving the Wimbish family.
