Wayne C. Tesch, 66, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at his home.
Wayne Clarence was born the son of Clarence and Doris (Hanke) Tesch on January 3, 1947 in Beaver Dam. He was a 1966 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was married to Joan Schultz on June 3, 1972 at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Wayne began his career with Kraft Foods, then was employed with MEC, and later retired from the Beaver Dam School District as Head of Maintenance. During his retirement, he enjoyed working at Kohl's.
Wayne was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed weight lifting, especially power lifting. Wayne broke many records weight lifting at the Badger State Games. He prided himself on being a member of NASA, Natural Athlete Strength Association, a drug free weight lifting organization.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Joan of Beaver Dam; his daughter, Julie (Dolores Hager) Tesch of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren: Thomas Anderson, Steven Anderson and Logan Tesch; and is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Koepsell Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd., Beaver Dam. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, August 11th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Okeeg Cemetery, Township of Elba, WI.
