Betty Darlene Burns, 65, of Low Gap Road in Irvine, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1947, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Robert Leo Burns and Madolin Oberta Hall Burns Ashcraft. She was a homemaker and attended the Wagersville Community Pentecostal Church of God and the Thomas Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Survivors include three daughters, Dreama Dawn Lambert of Prestonville, WaTassee Lynn Sias of Irvine and Sabrina Dawn Burns of Irvine; three sons, Samuel DeWayne Lambert and wife, Tyra of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Joseph Glenn Lambert of Irvine and Phillip Nile Fowler and wife, Felicia of Irvine; three sisters, Flona Pearl Burns Linderhoff of Richmond, Sheila Paulette Burns Sparks of Irvine and Peggy Lou Burns Chaney and husband, John of Irvine; a brother, Robert Cecil "Bobby" Burns and wife, Beverly of Irvine; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Beverly Arvin and Bro. Ricky Kirby officiating. Burial was at the Sparks Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tristan Lambert, Isaac Miller, Josh Klema, Shaun Rose, Wayne Marcum and Brad Wooten.
