June M. (Hershey) Griffith, 88, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, of natural causes in ManorCare, Muhlenberg Township.

June was born in Reading on April 1, 1921, a daughter of the late Curtis and Loretta (Folk) Tice.

She was the widow of Edward C. Griffiths, who died Dec. 15, 1997.

She worked as a marketing research supervisor at Selling Research, New York City, for 30 years.

She was a 1939 graduate of Reading High School.

June is survived by a daughter, Sandra J., wife of Thomas Graupp, Exeter Township; and two sons, Burton R. Griffith, Henderson, Nev.; and Barry E. Griffith, Reading.

There are also seven grandchildren: Barry E. II, Michele, Brian, Marsha, Jeffrey, Shannon and Shane; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. in Sanders Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1501 N. 11th St., Reading. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
