Deceased Name: GILMAN - Louis N. Bachtold

GILMAN - Louis N. Bachtold, 86, died at 7:27 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 25, 1993) at Gilman Nursing Home.

His graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at South Apostolic Cemetery, near Forrest. There will be no visitation. Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born April 8, 1906, in Sibley, the son of William and Ida Alt Bachtold.

Surviving are a daughter, of California; a son, of Texas; five brothers, Joe, Sibley; Carl and Willis, both of Fairbury; Elmer, Forrest; and Melvin, Florida; and four sisters, Lillian Bachtold, Fairbury; Nettie Kyburz and Janita Koehl, both of Forrest; and Laura Kupferschmid, Eureka. One son, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was raised in the Fairbury area and retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co., Peoria.
