Private, 354th Ambulance Company, 314th Sanitary Train, 89th Division. Son of Charles & Elizabeth Miller. Entered the service May 25, 1918; to Camp Funston, KS; went overseas June 29, 1918; in the major offensives at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne; in the service 13 months; in the trenches 103 days; discharged June 5, 1919.

SERVICES FOR WELL KNOWN GALESBURG CONTRACTOR ON WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Harry W Miller, well known Galesburg contractor, who died suddenly Monday morning in Jacksonville, where he was serving as superintendent of buildings and construction at the three state institutions, will be held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon from the Dean Funeral Home. Mr. Miller succumbed to a sudden heart attack about three o'clock Monday morning and his death proved a great shock to his family and friends as there had been no preceding illness which had been regarded as serious, although he had some minor heart disturbance.
Mr. Miller was born January 14, 1885, at Deal, Kent, England, and came to the United States with his parents Charles and Elizabeth Miller when a child of two. He attended Galesburg schools and Knox College.
He was a veteran of the first World War and was a member of the Jacksonville post of the American Legion and the Elks Club of Galesburg. He was affiliated with the Central Congregational Church.
He is survived by his widow, the former Nell Wagoner, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller and three sisters, Mrs. Victor Kraft of Galesburg, Mrs. Cecil Lescher and Miss Elizabeth Miller of Yonkers, NY.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.

HOLD RITES TODAY FOR HARRY MILLER
Funeral services for Harry Miller, former Galesburg resident, who died at his home in Jacksonville Monday morning, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Dean's Funeral Home with Rev. Raye L Ragan of the First Methodist Church officiating. Organ selections were played by Mrs. Lloyd Bonham. Burial was in the family lot in Hope Cemetery and pallbearers were CN Johnson, Henry Boltenstern, George Inness, AN Telford, RF Jelliff and HN Bloomquist.
