Alice M. Kaseman, 88, of Gibsonburg passed away on Friday, August 09, 2013 at the Windsor Lane Health Care Center in Gibsonburg. Alice was born in Curtice, OH on July 11, 1925 to Lawrence and Freda (Zunk) Grosjean. She married Harold Kaseman on August 31, 1946 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, OH. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary over sixteen years ago at the St. Michael's Church in Gibsonburg where Alice was a member. Alice was a homemaker and during WWII worked at the Erie Proving Grounds. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, canning and craft work. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Jean (David) Kayden of Herndon, VA, Thomas Kaseman of Gibsonburg; siblings, June Schmidt of Northwood and Theresa (Robert) Skilliter of Genoa; four grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Harold Grosjean, Bernice Faycosh, Donna Sandrock and Lyle Grosjean and great grandson Stephan Kaseman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013, 11 a.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Gibsonburg where family and friends will be welcomed on Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Rev. Randy Williams of Halifax, VA will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Contributions in Alice's memory may be made to the Dementia Unit at Windsor Lane Health Care Center for outdoor equipment or to Heartland Hospice of Fremont, Ohio.
