G. Elaine Stark
G. Elaine Stark, age 77, of Springport died Wednesday, August 19, 1998 at Battle Creek Health System - Community Site.
Mrs. Stark was born November 18, 1920 in Clarence Twp. to Christopher "Chris" Fred and Minnie Lena (Kopp) Miller.
On April 27, 1946 she was married, in Albion, to Nelson A. Stark.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for 41 years at the Vaughn Clothing Store in the office until it closed. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and several women's clubs in Albion. She enjoyed both gardening and bowling.
Surviving are her husband, Nelson A. Stark of Springport; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday from noon to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Albion Chapel of Tidd - Williams Funeral Chapels. Inc. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 1998 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor James A. Waddell officiating. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery. Friends who wish to make memorial contributions to the Albion Area Ambulance Service, Visiting Nurses, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or the American Cancer Society.
