Delalah Mae Eli was born December 2, 1914 in Crookston, MN to Hassen and Katherine (Libby) Eli. She was raised in Sharon, ND where she attended school.
She was married January 31, 1936 to Charlie Alley, Sr. He passed away on May 23, 1969.
Delalah married Kenneth Knapp on November 7, 1970. He passed away May 15, 1981.
She lived the majority of her life in Glenfield, ND where she was a member of Glenfield Lutheran Church, a member of WELCA in Glenfield, Scissor and Pans Homemakers, and worked as a cook for a period of time at Glenfield school.
Delalah moved to the Gardenette in Jamestown in April 1990, where she was involved in the choir. She enjoyed playing harmonica, accordian, and keyboard.
She resided at Golden Acres Manor since March 27, 2003.
She is survived by six children, Josephine (James) Prescott of Jamestown, ND, Jeanette Rindy of Carrington, ND, Dorothy (Bill) Vargas of Waterford, CT, Charlotte (Fred) Miller of Gackle, ND, Charles Alley, Jr. of Fargo, ND, and Irene (Roger) Johnson of Yucca Valley, CA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one brother, Samuel (Nancy) Eli of Parkers Prairie, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one sister, Audrey Schuele; three brothers, Hassen Eli, Jr., William Eli, and Joseph; one son-in-law, Jack Rindy; and one granddaughter, Heather Johnson.
Burial: Glenfield Cemetery, Glenfield, ND.
