Mr. Bobby Ray Bailey, age 64, of Menlo, GA, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Heritage Healthcare.
Mr. Bailey was born March 22, 1949, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, son of the late Guy Winfred and Mary Bailey. He was a member of the Berryton Bible Mission, and prior to his retirement, was employed with the Harriet and Henderson Yarn Mill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nera Bell Pickle Bailey; a step daughter, Rosemary Howard; and brothers, Mark Bailey and Donnie Bailey.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his step son, Charles Edward "Eddie" Elrod, Jr.; step daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Leonard Schrader, Linda and William Cochran, Dot and J. D. Schrader, and Susan Hampton; brothers, Gary Bailey and Guy Bailey, Jr.; aunt and uncle, Joyce and Jerry Bailey; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Bailey will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2013, from the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Pickle, T. J. Rutledge, Dustin Schrader, and Jonathon Rutledge.
Mr. Bailey will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.
