Caroline Wilmot Nau Mathiott is buried in the same gravesite as her 1st husband, Edward Nau. He had died in 1903 and Carrie Mathiot died in 1952. The State officials said the gravesite could be used again after 40 years, so Carrie asked that she be buried with her first husband Edward Nau. There was never a grave marker for Edward Nau,, so the gravesite is marked with only Caroline Wilmot Mathiott's name.
